Mastering the Air Fryer with Kathy Hester: PYP 331

Kathy Hester is a cookbook author, gear and gadget junkie, and vegan wizard. She's also a neighbor of mine, and a hilarious and warm and wonderful human being.

This is her third appearance on the podcast – and frankly, I got tired of talking about food and not getting to eat it! So for this episode, I invited Kathy into my kitchen, to teach us all how to use the air fryer to get low-fat plant-based deliciousness into our lives.

She demonstrated two different air fryers:

And three dishes:

  • Kale chips
  • Crunchy spicy chickpea snacks
  • Reminiscent-of-chicken soy curls

This is a watchable podcast. You can listen, but you'll miss about 75% of the goodness of the episode. You can watch it on this page, or click here to go to YouTube.

Also, we tackle the thorny questions of whether desiccant packets are edible (NO!!!!), and whether Tide Pods are vegan (UNSURE)…

Enjoy, add your voice to the conversation via the comment box or audio recording box below, and please share – that's how we spread our message and spread our roots.
